Building on the power of earlier vehicles, this race-ready car features a super-charged V8, larger carbon-brakes, all aluminum shocks, a higher-downforce carbon fiber front-splitter, a movable spoiler, sound-deadening materials, and lighter than average wheels. All of these improvements shave nearly 100 pounds off the total mass of the original McLaren. The changes also boost the SLR 722’s speed; the car can now reach 209 miles per hour instead of its earlier 207.

The view from the driver’s seat is truly stunning.  A beautiful charcoal and crimson interior help justify the 480,000-dollar price tag.
