The updated Lancer embodies the concept of evolution in a way that would make Darwin himself smile. Developed to Wow at the World Rally Championships, Mitsubishi dedicated its best talent to developing this heart-stopping racer. Using the experience gained from its time with 'Group A', the Japanese company gave this car ample amounts of power, speed, and control. Utilizing the improved version of a two-liter four-cylinder engine, this car was a step beyond anything Mitsubishi had entered in any race to that point. The vehicle made its rally premiere in the eleventh round of the 2001 rally season.
