The Bell UH-1 Iroquois or "Huey" was a mainstay field aircraft of the Vietnam War.  It served rescue, transport and armed escort duties.  The addition of heavy machine guns, rocket pods and nose mounted grenade launchers helped give it the name "Huey Hog".  It was also flown by the Marine Corps as the UH-1E.
