Tanks quivered in fear of its thrumming engines. One of World War Two’s most successful fighters, the P-51D Mustang was a plane known for its numerous victories and impressive wingspan. In this kit’s version, the wingspan exceeds the length of the entire kit by over two inches.  Its wings allowed this Mustang to fly miles upon miles without a need for refueling or pausing. Keeping to the true craft, the wingspan of this Revell kit exceeds the length of the fuselage by over two inches.

With forty-nine pieces, this plastic model airplane is less complex than many of our other kits and offers a good start for a young builder. However, though it is suited for assembly by younger builders, this kit does not leave more experienced modelers hungry. It possesses a removable engine panel, access panel for the machine guns, rotating wheels, a high degree of panel detail, faithfully replicated fuselage spine, paper laminated pieces, and detailed pilot figures.
