The F4U-1A Corsair turned the tide of Pacific warfare in the initial stages World War Two. High-speed capability, 12.7 mm machine guns, the largest propeller on any fighter plane to date, and its signature gull-shaped wings led this plane to victory in battle after battle. While it eventually allocated its place in to newer fighters, the Corsair remains an important piece of military history.  Built by Tamiya, a company known for its high-quality kits, this particular model airplane kit (1/48 scale) is known for its well-engineered pieces and tangible historical detail.
